ShredCoach Is Live on the App Store. 130 Days. 29.4 lbs. Here's the Whole Story.

On March 2 I weighed 221.7 lbs and started a cut. Today I weigh 192.3, and the app I built to get here is officially live on the App Store. This is the story of building ShredCoach while using it — and what 130 days of data taught me about losing fat for real.

This morning I stepped on the scale and it read 192.3. Then I opened my phone, went to the App Store, and downloaded my own app — the same way you can, right now, for the first time.

130 days ago I weighed 221.7 lbs. Today I'm down 29.4 lbs. And every single one of those pounds came off while I was building the app that tracked them.
The Numbers, Start to Finish
• March 2: 221.7 lbs. Day one. Cut begins. • Day 10: Down 10 lbs — a mix of water, inflammation, and the first real fat. • Day 42: Down 19.7 lbs and 6% body fat. The photos started looking different. • Day 70: 195.8 lbs. Survived Cinco de Mayo, learned my allergens the hard way, and kept going. • Day 130 — today: 192.3 lbs. Down 29.4 total. Still burning.
No crash diet. No 800-calorie starvation phase. No two-a-day cardio punishment. A consistent deficit, high protein, foods my body actually tolerates, and daily data I couldn't lie to.
Why I Built an App in the Middle of a Cut
When I started this cut, I tried the big-name tracking apps. Every one of them felt like it was built by people who had never actually done a hard cut. Logging was a chore. The "coaching" was generic. Nothing connected my meals to my allergies, my fasting windows, or the protocols my doctor had me on.
So I did what I've done my whole career when a tool doesn't exist: I built it.
Every feature in ShredCoach exists because I needed it on a specific day of this cut:
• Photo food analysis — because weighing chicken at a restaurant isn't a thing. • AI meal plans that respect allergens — because wheat, dairy, and tomatoes cost me 3 lbs of inflammation in 48 hours, and I never wanted to guess again. • The AI coach — because the moment the scale spikes for no reason is the moment most people quit, and I wanted an answer at 6 a.m., not a forum thread. • Fasting timer and Rx protocol tracking — because my real protocol had more moving parts than any app could handle.
I wasn't building features from a roadmap. I was building them from my own bathroom scale.
What 130 Days of Data Actually Taught Me
The scale lies daily but tells the truth weekly. I gained "3 lbs" on Cinco de Mayo and lost it plus more within a week. If I only weighed once a week, I'd have missed the lesson. If I panicked daily, I'd have quit. The trend line is the only thing that matters.
Food sensitivity is the hidden variable. I was carrying 7-8 lbs of inflammatory water for years and called it "just my weight." Eliminating my trigger foods was worth more than any supplement I've ever taken.
Consistency beats intensity, every single time. My worst weeks weren't the ones where I ate too much. They were the ones where I stopped tracking. The moment the data went dark, the decisions got worse.
You can build the biggest thing of your career in a calorie deficit. The fog everyone warns you about never came. Days 60 through 130 — deep in the cut — were the most productive stretch I've ever had. That's when most of ShredCoach got built.
What's in the App at Launch
ShredCoach launches with a free tier and three paid plans, so you can start without spending a dime:
• Free — calorie and macro tracking, manual logging, and 3 AI coach messages a day. • Pro — unlimited AI coaching, 7-day AI meal plans, photo food analysis, auto shopping lists, fasting timer, and protocol tracking. • Pro+ — everything in Pro, plus AI workout programming and form analysis. • Elite — a dedicated human coach layered on top of the AI.
Every meal plan respects your allergies and restrictions. Every recommendation comes from the same system that just walked me down 29.4 lbs.
The Part Where You Come In
I didn't build ShredCoach to sell you a dream body in 30 days. I built it because cutting is hard, the internet is full of noise, and the tools available treated tracking like an afterthought instead of the whole game.
If you're where I was on March 2 — heavier than you want to be, tired of starting over, skeptical of every app that promises magic — this was built for you, by someone standing exactly where you're standing.
The cut isn't over. I'll keep publishing the data, the mistakes, and the wins right here on this blog. But today, for the first time, you don't have to just read about it.
